July feature, Meme

Enjoy Canada Day fireworks? Want some poetic fireworks to feed your soul? Come to the July London Poetry Slam, our second slam of the season, as we continue to bring great poetry to the stage in London.

Our feature this month is Amelia “Meme” Meister, a ‘Guelph-based poet whose roots flow deep into the Earth bringing fierce love to the mic. Using diverse styles she delivers powerful messages of social and environmental justice flowing from a place of honesty, love and reverence for this thing we call Life.’

The night is sure to be one of inspiration and fun so bring your friends, bring your fam, and if you want, bring your poems and share with us! Open mic to start the night with a wonderful slam to follow.

As always, the slam will be:
- At the London Music Club, 470 Colborne Street, London ON
- starting at 8 pm, with doors and collective meeting for anyone interested at 7:30.
- $5, or FREE to anyone volunteering (contact Melissa or Holly at londonpoetryslam@gmail.com or on Facebook)
