Just saw Holly give an Ignite London talk at Aeolian Hall last night that included some spoken word and was blown away along with the rest of the audience.
It reawakened my interest in this art form, and I look forward to attending the next rhyming smack-down…er, poetry slam.

If you are interested in sitting in on a workshop and doing some interviewing/recording for a project, I don’t see that being a problem. Unfortunately I didn’t see this message before our last workshop… would you still be interested in coming to our Feb workshop on the 16th?

Hi,
I’m a student at Fanshawe College studying journalism broadcasting and was wondering if I could sit in on a lesson to record sounds and interview some people in your class.. Maybe get a few people reading their poetry outloud. It is for a project that only my teacher will be hearing. I’ll be asking people why they love poetry and what brings themselves to your class, and ask you (the teacher) a couple of questions.

That was amazing …. I’m gobsmacked and lost for words. It was just soooooo good.

Thank you for reminding me of the beauty of the spoken word, the rhythm, the cadence and the eloquent expression of real ideas – not the parody of both ideas and language that I hear nightly between 8 and 10 pm on my television.

Thank you for reminding me that there are standards which I can continue to aspire to, meet and excel beyond.
