Event Time: 12-2pm

Event Location: 240 Waterloo St

Join us the Saturday after our slam from 12-2pm for a workshop opportunity to chat with poets, learn some tips and tricks, have your writing critiqued, practice performing, or just sit in and listen! Workshops are held at the GORGEOUS London Roundhouse, and are FREE + ALL welcome! (no experience necessary)

Our September workshop will be facilitated by our feature, Robyn!

“A Letter to Where It Hurt”
In this workshop we will be facilitating a discussion on how we write about our pain and perform it on a stage. How does pain score on a stage? Do we write for ourselves or for a slam setting? How is poetry a tool for healing? We will then be writing letters to our past, pain and trauma. Writing to a person, place, thing or to ourselves, but writing for our eyes only. We will then be taking these letters and turning them into black out poetry. We will use our letters to create new poems on healing, changing, growth and whatever else our hearts need in the moment. We will transform our pain.
